Meter parking can be found in front. There is also a municipal lot located about one block away on 115 High Street.

*Please take note that you have to pay the meter Monday through Saturday but not after 6:00 pm.

Established March 2016, James on Main is another step in the ambitious culinary journey of chef Bill Van Pelt. Chef Bill has spent more than twenty years in professional kitchens honing his craft. Chef has garnered local and national awards, in addition to studying abroad in Vienna and the Austrian Alps. During engagements in restaurants, hotels, country clubs, and NJ's elite catering companies, chef Bill has worked with some of New Jersey's finest chefs and for some of the tristate area's leading personalities and business moguls. 

As a Hackettstown resident, husband and father of three, chef Bill decided to bring his culinary talents to historic Main Street. James on Main, by design is a place for people to gather and enjoy freshly prepared foods, sourced locally and seasonally when possible, in a warm and welcoming environment. 

It is the mission of James on Main to become woven into the fabric of this classic downtown and diverse community, providing a place for families, friends and coworkers alike to find a delicious, health-inspired meal prepared especially for them.
